Established in August 2002, Colossus Information Systems (COINS) has been providing outsourced IT management services to small and medium enterprises. We are the ideal solution for small and medium sized businesses require IT support but does not need a full time IT system administrator in their office. Our customer base include legal firms, auction houses, trading companies and even public listed companies.
At COINS, we believe in going the extra mile to provide excellent service to ensure highest customer satisfaction. It is our greatest pride when our customers regard us as part of their organization. We recently moved to Megan Avenue 1 to be closer to our customers an provide faster response. |
Founder's Resume
Patrick Yau acquired Masters in Business Administration (with Distinction) from University of Malaya in 2005 while managing Colossus Information Systems which he started in August 2002. Majoring in Organizational Development, he applied the newfound knowledge into his business to gain first hand experience. He was able to juggle time between building up Colossus Information Systems and excelling in studies at the same time.
He is also a holder of a Computer Science honors degree from the same university since 1999. This has built a solid foundation on technical knowledge, especially when he majored in Networking and Security, which was relatively new at that time.
MIMOS quickly hired Patrick as a research assistant during industrial training and later signed him to be a full fledged Researcher in Security Department when he graduated. After having spent one year as Researcher, Patrick moved on to Technical Marketing Engineer with another of MIMOS' rapidly expanding department, iVEST. There he learnt the skills of sales and marketing.
After more than two years with MIMOS, Patrick left for REDtone, (then VMS Technology Sdn. Bhd.) as a Marketing Consultant. After six months, he realized his passion for computer network and security and therefore moved on to e-Lock Sdn. Bhd. as a Computer Security Consultant.
Hungry for more knowledge and experience, he signed up for an MBA program with University Malaya in the same year. Colossus Information Systems was officially set up in 2002 and acquired trust and loyalty from various reputable customers such as Cahya Mata Sarawak Berhad, Peninsular Gold Limited, Raub Australian Gold Mining Sdn. Bhd., Kam Woon Wah & Co and Ehsan Auctioneers Sdn. Bhd.
